Or, as James Dean would say, "Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today." Talking about James Dean, it's been 50 years since he crashed... I've seen his movies, and i can really recommend them. "Giant" was my least favorite movie, because he had such a small part, but oh boy he kicks ass in the restaurant scene. And then comes "East of Eden" and i vaguely recall it's about a guy who lost contact with his mother... Of course, Rebel without a cause is my favorite movie with him. I have this big poster of James Dean in my bedroom. Let me browse the net to find it... http://a1259.g.akamai.net/f/1259/5586/1d/images.art.com/images/PRODUCTS/large/10080000/10080340.jpg

Rational (NT)

You are both logical and creative. You are full of ideas.
You are so rational that you analyze everything. This drives people a little crazy!

Intelligence is important to you. You always like to be around smart people.
<STRIKE>In fact, you're often a little short with people who don't impress you mentally.</STRIKE>

You seem distant to some - but it's usually because you're deep in thought.
Those who understand you best are fellow Rationals.

In love, you tend to approach things with logic. You seek a compatible mate - who is also very intelligent.

At work, you tend to gravitate toward idea building careers - like programming, medicine, or academia.

With others, you are very honest and direct. People often can't take your criticism well.

As far as your looks go, you're coasting on what you were born with. You think fashion is silly.

On weekends, you spend most of your time thinking, experimenting with new ideas, or learning new things.

Gosh, i dunno what went wrong at the end, but i'm not like that at all... I don't like to give orders, i'm not Mufasa either and i always respect other people's opinions. I don't care what they think, in terms of the way i dress or something, but i'm always open to new ideas and wanting to get to know new people. I don't care if they think what i think is right or wrong. In fact i could get *very* mad at people who don't respect other people's opinion. It's said that Scorpio's have difficulty respecting other's people, but since one of my best friends is a Scorpio, i try to forget that negative side and see all the positive personality traits.

I love eagles But in a past live, i would've been a dolphin, rather than a whale. Whales are slow and big, and dolphins are more vivid. I like them both though because they are very intelligent. People can be intelligent too, but not in ways of survival, except if they are in the military or something. The thing i find most impressive is that animals can't speak, but they all know how to survive or make a warm nest for their little ones, or catch insects and all. It's like all that knowledge is in their brain already...

But i liked the old Blogthings site, it had a long list of blogthings to choose from. Now there's only a few...

This is the last one for today:

Your World View

You are a happy, well-balanced person who likes people and is liked by others.
You question whether many conventional views on morality are valid under all circumstances.
You are essentially a content person.

Sometimes, you consider yourself a little superior.
You are moral by your own standards.
You believe that morality is what best suits the occasion.

What Is Your World View?

My thumb still hurts... I'm able to produce 3 Dymo's ® per minute and i keep cutting myself on the edge of the tape... So if i work 8 hours and i cut my thumb 3 times a minute... 3 times 60 is 180. 180 times 8 is... Let me get the calculator... Oh well, 1440. That about says it all

I went to a friend's house yesterday and we watched Shark Tale. Man that was some funny sh!t. Those creators really are geniuses. I had a great evening. For the first time in my life i felt comfortable laying in men's arms. A couple of weeks ago i never thought i'd ever find someone friendly, caring and as cool as he is. He's got piercings and tattoo's though, i never thought i'd meet someone like that. Ok enough romance for today.

Now i'm off to the bookshop to see if they can import Frank Miller's Sin City comics.

Tuesday, September 20, 2005

You are pretty evenly split down the middle - a total eunuch.
Okay, kidding about the eunuch part. But you do get along with both sexes.
You reject traditional gender roles. However, you don't actively fight them.
You're just you. You don't try to be what people expect you to be.

How Boyish or Girlish Are You?

Lol, i once did a Emotional Intelligence test and it said that i "think like a man, make love like a man and love like a man". Gosh, this raises some serious questions Well, i can live with that. I used to be afraid of dolls, especially that empty gaze and those everlasting smiles. So i used to play with cars. I'm still happy with who i am. Everybody should be.

What can i say? This is so accurate :o

By the way, Sin City has to be one of the best movies EVER made! I haven't seen a single movie that is as dark, as beautiful, as violent and as dramatic as this one.

I'm also thinking about a tattoo (a real tattoo, not a temporary one) on either the back of my left shoulder, or on my lower back.
Ah, i finally got this blogthing to work I'm in the final level of Second Sight for PS2 now. Man, that's a hard one, because it's a combination of the most difficult parts in the entire game, and the sad thing is, you get to pass checkpoints, but you can't save your progress. I guess i'll spend my entire Sunday gaming, which i don't mind, of course. I highly recommend this game. It's about a guy who, as the game moves on, gains psychic abilities and he has to sneak past guards and all. That's my favorite genre: sneaking and killing. Like Manhunt and Splinter Cell Ok, enough about gaming, back to what i was doing before i wrote this.

Sunday, September 11, 2005

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was... confusing, beautiful, got me thinking about things and omg Jim Carrey's performance was superb. (As were his looks ) I used to 'hate' the movies he was in, but ever since Bruce Almighty, i came to like him more and more. I especially like his character in this movie, because i recognise myself in it.

I'm gonna watch Boys Don't Cry in a few hours and i'm really curious to see it. I usually don't like movies with lesbians, like Mulholland Drive or Being John Malkovich, but if Swank got an oscar for it, that means it has to be a good movie.

And since those blogthings are really popular: i decided to put some new ones here. They don't seem to work though, but frankly my dear, i don't give a fuck.

You Are Somewhat Machiavellian

You're not going to mow over everyone to get ahead...
But you're also powerful enough to make things happen for yourself.
You understand how the world works, even when it's an ugly place.
You just don't get ugly yourself - unless you have to!
What is a ... macho villian?

Your Summer Ride is a Jeep

For you, summer is all about having no responsibilities.
You prefer to hang with old friends - and make some new ones.
Hmm... I expected a more detailed outcome... But still, a jeep is one of my fave cars

How You Are In Love

You take a while to fall in love with someone. Trust takes time.
You tend to take more than give in relationships.
You tend to get very attached when you're with someone. You want to see your love all the time.
You love your partner unconditionally and don't try to make them change.
You stay in love for a long time, even if you aren't loved back. When you fall, you fall hard.

Only the first line is like me...

Ok, the second isn't wrong either.

How You Life Your Life

You seem to be straight forward, but you keep a lot inside.
You tend to avoid confrontation and stay away from sticky situations.
You tend to have one best friend you hang with, as opposed to many aquaintences.
Some of your past dreams have disappointed you, but you don't let it get you down.
I so recognise myself in this

Sunday, September 04, 2005

i chose a new profile pic. That is my cat, ladies and gentleman.

I also chose this very cool background song, featured in Sin City.

Wednesday, August 31, 2005

I'm gonna have to get up early tomorrow. Lil bro asked me to go with him, the first day, again, of another tiring year, with a shitload of mathematics, religion, and language. I feel kinda sad for him, i mean, i have this relaxing job, and he has to sit all day, listening to what the teacher says... It's an honor, really, to accompany him to school.

I'm still not sure weather i'm gonna go to college or not. Journalism sounds great, but the time i spend there (that will be three years) could also be spent, earning money, so that's kinda hard to decide. I have plenty of time though to think about it. I have zero chances to find a good job at a desk, which i don't want anyway, so that's great. Working in a factory is more appealing. It's not ambitious, but i'm not much of an ambitious person anyway. Which also raises the question: could i manage going to college? Would i have to force myself to study, or would it be a piece of cake? I'm sure i'm gonna study photography. My dream is of course combining journalism and being a photographer, but it seems so far away... My short term goals are: getting a driver's license and a car, and after that, a motorcycle. Nothing fancy, just black with lots of chrome and the nice deep sound of the engine itself. Long term? I'm not sure about that yet. It's kinda hard to travel a lot. 2 weeks per year is the hard part... What if i wanna spend a month in the US? It can be done, but that's something i know nothing about... I'm planning to travel a lot. Ryanair lets you fly to Dublin for only 25 €, that's just cheap, i could go there every weekend lol. I'm not gonna have any children. I thought about that a lot. I wanna live for myself, not for someone else. Children can be the most beautiful thing in the world, and i surely believe that, but not for me. The world has so many other beautiful things to offer. Or bad things. Why would anyone want a child these days?

It's been 3 days since i last saw a movie, that must be a new record this month...

I've been waiting too... Please show up soon. I know you're there...

Wednesday, August 31, 2005

This really got me thinking...

Have I ever had a dream that I would re-enter forever? What is it about "real life" that competes so easily with dream worlds which have their wonderfully intense emotions and activities? What can I do to be more aware of this value I place upon my "real life?"

How is my childhood now like a dream I have had? Would I re-enter and relive my childhood?

What pleasures of life have now passed "forever" and are now something "outgrown?" My childhood toys? My youthful desires? My adult plans? Which of these are now like dreams I have had but do not need to re-run? What parts of my life right now are transitioning into "old news" that no longer is alluring?

How do I spot the future towards which my present life is pointing? What can I do to make the transitions easier?

How does ordinary life normally "process" my "desire sets?" What is it about the passage of time that transmutes and/or extinguishes desires?

After I die will any part of my life escape this "dreamification" process? What will I look back on that I will want to re-enter? Will I be "finished with desires" when I die?

How do I know the "evolutionary" value of "getting rid of a desire?" What do I gain from doing so?

How do I embrace "me now" when I know it will one day be "that old me?"

How am I always like a child?

How is my future wrought from my innocence?

Tuesday, August 30, 2005

I have some new photos to show, and i'll try to scan and upload them asap. I have to go to work first. I have a new job. I also found out that a new digital camera (that suits my demands) will cost approx. 950 $... I like the one that i have now (not a digital one) and the special trix i can do with it, but it would be so much fun to shoot anything without having to pay for them. I have to choose between 1) unlimited photographing but a very expensive camera or 2) limited photographing with a cheaper one but that still has the tricks that a digital camera would do...

Anyway, ttyl. I'm in a hurry.
